Guida galattica per nativi digitali e boomer. Il manuale definitivo. | Carlo Cuomo | TEDxLUCCA
"Now" isn't just about the present moment; "now" is also a unit of time. Likewise, "story" isn't just a collection of past events but a sequence of happenings at the heart of a narrative. Perhaps this should be called "Stor-AI", given the impact Artificial Intelligence is having on our lives. However, AI is not the only innovation rapidly reshaping the world as we know it. Social media, the Metaverse, and, above all, various forms of entertainment—video games in particular—are playing a crucial role. The main goal of this talk is to offer the audience a vision of our connected, technological, interactive, and human-centered world, focusing on key innovations and their positive and negative impacts on our lives. To achieve this, we will explore Edutainment and other methodologies, revealing how contemporary society is fighting—almost like in a video game—to reclaim control over its own life. We will also provide essential guidelines on how to choose the right allies and tools to win this challenge. - 11:13You Can’t Teach Innovation Without Innovating Education | Huandong(Danny) Cao | TEDxSinan RdIn this powerful and thought-provoking talk, educator and Ignite Academy founder Danny Cao challenges the outdated mindsets driving much of today’s education system. Drawing on years of teaching experience and stories from students at top institutions like Tsinghua and Columbia, Danny reveals a painful truth: when education is reduced to rigid goals, rankings, and resume-padding, creativity dies. With wit and conviction, he explores why many classrooms discourage curiosity, why teachers fear questions, and how labels like “gifted” and “ordinary” damage children’s confidence and potential. He shares his belief that every child has their own version of genius, and that innovation cannot flourish in a system that rewards only conformity and performance. From critiques of how competitions are misused to reflections on the real purpose of learning, Danny invites us to reimagine education as a space not for comparison, but for discovery — one where asking questions matters more than having all the answers.
