Say Anything… But Should You? | Isabella Villagrán Sánchez | TEDxColegioAmericanoXalapaYouth
Isabella Villagrán provocatively asks: Does freedom of expression have limits? Exploring the fine line between free speech and its potential for harm, she challenges us to consider who decides these boundaries and our individual responsibility in shaping a world where words empower, not destroy. Isabella is passionate about sharing ideas that inspire reflection, connection, and positive change. With unique experiences and a personal perspective, she joins TEDxYouth to spark conversations and encourage others to see the world in new ways. - 9:37What dinosaurs can teach us about our climate crisis | Alfio Alessandro Chiarenza | TEDxPadovaImagine traveling back through half a billion years of Earth’s history, where the only clues to our planet’s climate story lie locked in stone. In this talk, I’ll share how we’ve unearthed those clues by chasing fossils from the red-rock badlands of Utah to the windswept dunes of the Gobi Desert. Using cutting-edge ecological and evolutionary models alongside decades of fieldwork with international teams, we’re piecing together the hidden playbook of life under pressure: revealing the surprising strategies that helped dinosaurs and other creatures survive, or perish, during past climate upheavals. By uncovering these ancient patterns of adaptation and extinction, we can translate lessons written in rock into actionable insights for today’s ecosystems. Join me on this journey to decode Earth’s greatest climate experiments and discover what they teach us about resilience, responsibility, and the choices we face in our warming world. Ricercatore al Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Texas, borsista dell’European Research Council presso l’Università di Vigo. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Instead of chasing linear growth through constant activity, he presents spiral growth strategy, which is a systems-driven model that views progress through the lens of capacity. - 13:59Perfection isn't the goal | Hoang Huy Nguyen | TEDxLe Loi StreetWe live in an age where “potential” is often measured by achievements, and “success” is judged by speed. But the younger generation is not a project to be “optimized.” They are growing souls — full of clumsy steps, mistakes, and moments of losing their way. This is the story of someone who has learned to embrace imperfection — in themselves, and in the next generation. It’s not an idealistic kind of faith, but a mature one — shaped by failure, by observation, and by a passionate heart. Nguyen Hoang Huy is the Founder and CEO of The Forum, a chain of 10 language centers across Vietnam. His remarkable achievements include being admitted to the law program of University of New Hampshire; being admitted to a PhD program in Economics at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; and being one of the few Vietnamese to attain a perfect IELTS score of 9.0. Incredibly, Huy is simultaneously pursuing two doctoral degrees in Economics and Law, managing his education business, and completing an MBA program in Switzerland. His story is a powerful example of relentless learning and a deep commitment to the global academic community, as shown through initiatives like organizing free IELTS classes for learners.
