From defect to effect | Daniel Moers | TEDxBeitBerlCollege

In this TEDx talk, Daniel Moers shares a poignant story about societal acceptance—both of oneself and others—regardless of differences. He recounts the bullying he endured in high school due to his Tourette syndrome, which led to suicidal thoughts and actions. However, his journey took an unexpected turn towards recovery, allowing him to live the meaningful and fulfilling life he enjoys today. At 33 years old, Daniel Moers has been grappling with severe Tourette syndrome throughout his adult life, handling it with remarkable grace and humor. It has been a long journey, overcoming challenges that nearly claimed his life twice, to ultimately transform his struggle into his greatest passion and source of pride today." This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
