Marta Tomasi affronta da specialista il tema delle migrazioni con uno sguardo particolare alla legislazione degli ultimi anni. Professoressa associata di diritto costituzionale comparato presso la Facoltà di Giurisprudenza dell’Università degli Studi di Trento. Si occupa della tutela dei diritti fondamentali in diversi ambiti. In particolare, i suoi studi si sono concentrati sulle varie forme di vulnerabilità e sulla ricerca di strumenti per rendere effettiva la protezione e la promozione dei diritti delle persone malate, delle persone di minore età e delle persone migranti. Presso la Facoltà di Giurisprudenza, insegna corsi legati a questi temi e organizza le Cliniche Legali di Diritto dell’Immigrazione. Collabora, inoltre, al coordinamento delle attività di due sportelli di supporto giuridico, dedicati alle persone senza dimora (Avvocati per la Solidarietà) e alle persone private della libertà personale (Giuristi Dentro). Ha collaborato con molti Atenei italiani e ha svolto attività di ricerca presso diverse istituzioni accademiche all’estero.
