How your friendships, relationships and the people you surround yoursellf with affect your behavior and well being.
I was born in Mexico but throughout my life I lived in New York and now in Austria. Throughout the years where I lived In different places I have met many people with different cultures, religions, backgrounds and customs. Experiencing these different friendships I have noticed the changes others and my self demonstrate while strengthening friendships with new people. After having my own experience where I found my self acting like a completely different person, due to my friend groups. I saw negative effect this had on me and the friendships I had lost due to this I took a decision to find out the reason for this change and the repercussions it could have if not acknowledged. It is very important for me that other people understand the possible negative effects of this because I myself have experienced having friends that changed me negatively. Therefore I came to the conclusion that the best way for my message to reach out was by a Tedx and it is why I decided to participate. After completing her primary and high school education at TED Ankara College, she entered the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at METU Faculty of Architecture. She moved to Istanbul during her master's degree and entered the media world. Gürses has written many articles and books on literature and culture. She has also given speeches at various conferences and seminars on Turkish literature and culture. Gürses began her media career as a reporter at ATV News Center and later appeared on programs such as "Gece Hattı" and "Kırmızı Koltuk" on Star TV. She worked as an editor and presenter on programs such as "20. Saat", "13 Agency", "Bıldıgın Gibi Değil" and "Burası Haftasonu" on Habertürk TV.
