Julio Pertuzé, exsubsecretario de Economía durante la pandemia y académico, nos invita a reflexionar sobre las profundas desigualdades de género en el ámbito del emprendimiento. A partir de un análisis riguroso de datos, Julio expone cómo las barreras institucionales, como el cierre prolongado de escuelas durante la pandemia, afectaron de manera desproporcionada a las mujeres emprendedoras. Con una mirada crítica y propositiva, nos desafía a considerar la importancia de políticas públicas que fomenten la igualdad y el desarrollo inclusivo. Julio Pertuzé es Ingeniero Civil de Industrias de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) y posee un Ph.D. en Ingeniería de Sistemas y un M.Sc. en Tecnología y Políticas Públicas del Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Actualmente es profesor de jornada completa en el Departamento de Ingeniería Industrial de la PUC como profesor de jornada completa. Ex Subsecretario de Economía y Empresas de Menor Tamaño del Gobierno de Chile, junto con haber sido Jefe de la Unidad de Economía del Futuro del Ministerio de Economía y asesor en tecnología e innovación. Actualmente, es Co-Director del Magíster de Innovación UC. En el ámbito académico, ha sido reconocido por sus publicaciones en revistas y organizaciones como la OCDE, FMI, Harvard Business Review, Research Policy, Sloan Management Review MIT, NASA y Higher Education Policy.
