Almost 10 years after his first time being a TEDx speaker, a biologist, teacher, and researcher, revisits the urgency of the climate change agenda, yet emphasizes that it is still possible to reverse some of the damage. "I hate negationism, but I also hate defeatism," Hugo Fernandes is a Biologist, Director of Innovation & ESG at Seteg Soluções Ambientais, Professor at UECE, and advisor for Master's and Doctorate degrees at UFC.He is from Minas Gerais, holds a PhD in Zoology and a Post-Doctorate in Ecology, but dreams of becoming a citizen of Ceará.He has conducted field research in all of Brazil's biomes, but now works to value biodiversity and implement effective conservation solutions. A science communicator since 2010, he was considered by GQ Magazine as one of the Knowledge Influencers in Brazil.
