How to reclaim your own definition of beauty | Bea Asavajaru | TEDxStanford

Bea invites us to reflect on beauty by recognizing external expectations and re-examining our personal definitions. Tracing the evolution of societal and technological paradigm shifts that have shaped our perceptions, she challenges us to redefine beauty as an act of self-empowerment. Bea Asavajaru is a global marketing executive with more than 15 years of brand‑building and marketing leadership, and a Sloan Fellow candidate at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Bea has lead strategy for some of the world’s most iconic luxury beauty brands—leading high‑performing, multicultural teams across the United States, Australia, and Japan. Her work blends data‑driven insight with cultural fluency to re‑imagine consumer engagement and champion inclusive beauty on a global stage. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
