Building a Forest in India | Sanjana Krishnan | TEDxIIMSirmaur

What if the best way to heal the planet is to simply do nothing? In this deeply personal talk, Sanjana shares an extraordinary journey from city life to regenerating a barren hillside into a thriving forest. Through ancestral wisdom, patience, and the power of nature’s own resilience, this story challenges us to rethink our relationship with the land—and reminds us that sometimes, the best action is to step back and let nature take its course. Intuitive. Creative. Passionate. My life has encompassed over 10000 hours of training and interactions with corporate managers, university students, NGO's, farmers and government employees. As the creator of Beejvan Farms, I work with a team of farmers and practitioners who work to promote sustainable and inclusive rural development in the Sahyadri Valleys. As The Director of Beejvan Academy, we curate MDP's and Student Development Programs for corporates, government officers, and universities and students respectively. Our vision is to 'Build Leaders who Build Legacies'.with 15 years of work invested in managing projects, research and training, I'm now working towards creating a paradigm of articulation for the new world, keeping social equity, and collaboration at the core of our species' inner work. The prequels to collaboration are Being intentional with ourselves, owning our sovereignty and stepping into our power as autonomous beings, before we take action. I am passionate about advancing the causes of regeneration- social, ecological, cultural and spiritual. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
