‘Good Bias’ in Medical Artificial Intelligence | Beatrice N | TEDxWycombe Abbey School

Beatrice explores the identity of ‘good bias’ and its place in radiology tools. She reveals how influencing artificial intelligence models to purposefully inherit human bias could improve their efficiency. Beatrice is a year 13 student, studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science. She produced an EPQ discussing the potential and viability of implementing recommendation algorithms into neuroradiology. Passionate about the intersection of engineering and healthcare, she’s been researching how strategically including human bias can improve artificial intelligence models. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
