Si dice sempre che l’Italia è un paese smemorato. Non si tratta solo di memoria, però, ma della capacità di pensare il passato in forma storica. Viviamo infatti in un’epoca di presentismo, una nuova concezione del tempo che mette in crisi la nostra capacità di pensare sia il passato che il futuro.In questo intervento Andrea Sangiovanni racconta le riflessioni che fa quotidianamente come docente e studioso e che, in parte, deve ad un piccolo libro di Francesco Benigno, "La storia al tempo dell’oggi".Nato a Roma nel 1969, Andrea Sangiovanni è professore associato di Storia Contemporanea all’Università degli Studi di Teramo.Nelle sue ricerche si è occupato prevalentemente di storia dell’Italia repubblicana, con particolare attenzione ai processi di costruzione delle culture politiche e degli immaginari collettivi, e al ruolo che vi svolgono i mezzi di comunicazione di massa.È stato autore di trasmissioni radiofoniche e ospite in trasmissioni televisive sulla storia contemporanea. Tra i diversi libri pubblicati si ricordano: “Tute blu” (2006) sugli operai tra gli anni Cinquanta e gli anni Ottanta del Novecento, “L’autunno caldo: Cinquant’anni dopo” (2019) sulla storia del lavoro e “Le parole e le figure” (2012) sulla storia del sistema dei media in Italia. After completing her primary and high school education at TED Ankara College, she entered the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at METU Faculty of Architecture. She moved to Istanbul during her master's degree and entered the media world. Gürses has written many articles and books on literature and culture. She has also given speeches at various conferences and seminars on Turkish literature and culture. Gürses began her media career as a reporter at ATV News Center and later appeared on programs such as "Gece Hattı" and "Kırmızı Koltuk" on Star TV. She worked as an editor and presenter on programs such as "20. Saat", "13 Agency", "Bıldıgın Gibi Değil" and "Burası Haftasonu" on Habertürk TV.
