Catalysts of Change | Chantal Nalusiba Kasekende | TEDxIntl School Of Uganda

Chantal speaks about women, education and the power of ideas. Chantal Kasekende is a 16-year-old student, activist, and aspiring changemaker. Passionate about gender equality and education, she has dedicated herself to raising awareness about the challenges African women face in accessing and thriving in the educational sphere. Growing up in a region where girls often face barriers such as early marriage, poverty, and limited resources, Chantal has witnessed firsthand the transformative power of education—and the devastating consequences of its absence. She believes that education is the key to breaking cycles of poverty and inequality, and she dreams of creating a future where every girl has the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead. Her goal is to inspire individuals and institutions to invest in education for girls, ensuring that no dream is left unrealized due to a lack of opportunity. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
