We can revive endangered languages using AI and digital tools | Rāpata Wiri | TEDxProvo

This talk describes how new digital technologies powered by AI can revitalise languages like Māori, the native language of New Zealand. Dr Wiri, a former Māori language professor discusses the fall and rise of the Māori language in New Zealand history how new digital tools have helped revive his language from near extinction and how these tools can help endangered languages around the world. Rāpata Wiri is an author, respected Māori scholar, and founder of Reo Ora, the leading online platform for Māori language learining. He has contributed significantly to Māori language revitalization through education, research, and cultural advocacy.
