Dinesh Nair is a visionary reshaping India's sports landscape through his diverse career in playing, coaching, administration, and consulting. A former national-level footballer, he is renowned for his tactical brilliance and adaptability, having played two positions in a single national league game. As Advisor to the Mumbai Football Association and Hockey Mumbai City, and Founder Director of the Association of Indian Football Coaches, he drives grassroots development and coach welfare. Nair also leads the Sporting Lions Foundation, providing opportunities to underprivileged athletes. As a trustee of Andheri Sports Complex, he has elevated India's sports infrastructure, hosting teams during the FIFA U-17 World Cup. In entertainment, Nair serves as a Sports Choreographer for films like Maidaan and Maalik. His holistic approach to sports development blends tradition with innovation, inspiring athletes and creators alike. In this thought-provoking TED Talk, we explore the unexpected parallels between counter-terrorism and our battle against disinformation. Discover why treating societal issues as wars may be our biggest mistake. Inês Narciso has a master's degree in Criminology from the University of Leicester and is a PhD candidate in Sociology at ISCTE-IUL. She specialises in OSINT and in the areas of disinformation and influence operations. She participates in various international working groups in these areas, namely the Code of Practice for Disinformation (CoP), led by the European Commission, the FIMI-ISAC founded supported by European External Action Service and the Partnership for Countering Influence Operations of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. She is also one of the authors of the Obsint Guidelines, which try to bring digital research practices in Osint closer to the ethical commitments and methodological rigour of digital methodologies. She is an active volunteer for VOST Europe, an organisation of digital volunteers, through which she sits on the CoP and is on the board of the FIMI ISAC. She has worked as a Technical Expert and Deputy in the XXII and XXIII portuguese governments.
