Claudia Prieto es Profesora Asociada en el Departamento de Ingeniería Eléctrica de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC) y Directora de la Dirección de Investigación e Innovación de la misma institución. Es Ingeniera Civil Electricista y Doctora en Ciencias de la Ingeniería de la UC. También realizó un postdoctorado en el King’s College de Londres (KCL). Ha sido reconocida internacionalmente por su trabajo en ingeniería y tecnología. Su investigación se enfoca en imágenes médicas cardiovasculares para mejorar el diagnóstico temprano y no invasivo de enfermedades. Su trabajo ha sido destacado por Research.com, incluyéndola en su ranking global de los mejores científicos en “Ingeniería y Tecnología”. En 2021, lideró la creación del Instituto Milenio en Ingeniería e Inteligencia Artificial para la Salud (iHEALTH). También es editora adjunta de la revista Magnetic Resonance in Medicine y miembro de la Junta Directiva de la Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR).
