Inspired by George Bernard Shaw's renowned quote, my speech doesn’t only address the issues amongst humanity, but how to solve them and generate positive change in our world - through chocolate. Facing battlefields, both personal and literal, has become an everyday occurrence, and the way in which we approach these battlefields - flawed. I believe that chocolate should not be seen as an ‘unhealthy’, excessive, overly indulgent sweet treat; chocolate instead is a love we all share, and the paving stones to internal and external peace.This speech was delivered as part of a TEDxFrancisHollandSchoolRegentsPark event. We live in an era of incredible medical progress; people are able to live longer, healthier lives. But who is offering the vital support behind the scenes? Unpaid caregivers play an indispensable role in our society, yet their contributions often go overlooked.
