TEİ Genel Müdürü Prof. Dr. Mahmut Akşit TEDxEOSB Teknik Kolej Youth etkinliğimizde konuşmacı oldu. Hayat zorluklarla birlikte gelir ama kararlı olmak başarıyı getirir diyen Mahmut Akşit teknolojinin nasıl geliştiğine vurgu yaparak "Bazen imkansız görünen problemler bile gözünü korkutmasın, azimle her şey mümkün. İnanan ve sabırla çalışan başarır." cümleleriyle konuşmasını taçlandırdı. 1967 yılında Denizli’de doğan Prof. Dr. Mahmut Faruk Akşit,1991'de Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Makine Mühendisliğinden mezun oldu. Akademik çalışmalarını ABD’de bulunan Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’ta Akşit, Makine ve Havacılık Mühendisliği Bölümünden Yüksek Lisans ve Doktora derecelerini tamamladı. ABD’de bulunduğu sırada General Electric Corporate Ar-Ge Merkezinde 10 yıl boyunca yöneticilik unvanlarında görev aldı. 2003 yılından itibaren Sabancı Üniversitesi Mekatronik Mühendisliği Bölümünde devam eden Akşit,2013 yılından beri TEI Genel Müdürlüğü görevini yürütmektedir. Eskişehir Havacılık Kümelenmesi Derneği Yönetim Kurulu Başkanlığı ve Uluslararası Gaz Türbini Enstitüsü Isı Transferi Teknik Komitesi üyeliği görevlerini de yürütmektedir. Profesör Akşit’in uçak motorları,gaz ve buhar türbinleri konularında 30 yılı aşkın tecrübesi,16 değişik ülkede yayınlanmış 60’ın üzerinde patenti,150’ye yakın makale, tebliğ, NASA ve NATO teknik raporları ve benzeri bilimsel yayınları bulunmaktadır. She worked as an editor and presenter on programs such as "20. Saat", "13 Agency", "Bıldıgın Gibi Değil" and "Burası Haftasonu" on Habertürk TV. She served as assistant news director and on-screen presenter on the "Ana Haber" program on Kanal 1. He enjoys learning and is always looking for opportunities to meet new people. He is a budding photographer, as well as being an avid reader and also working on paper-craft, namely quilling. He values his academics and his extra-curricular, which is why he practices badminton and cricket. His favorite subject areas include math, science, and history.
