Embracing the Art of Storytelling Through Personal Expression | fatma AlHabib | TEDxSafat Square

The talk will explore how storytelling comes in different methods and forms through which storytelling manifests. There isn't a single method of expression – rather, our narratives are as varied as we are, contributing to our individuality. Every day, individuals in our society share their stories through movement, dialogue, or artistic expression. This act in itself is instrumental in catalyzing social change, as it broadens perspectives and encourages individuals to discover aspects of themselves and meaningful narratives that can inspire action. It’s not just the act of storytelling that makes a difference, it's the discovery and sharing of ones unique narrative style that fosters community building and cultivates a sense of belonging. Fatemah Alhabib, Founder of Qesati, is a visionary advocate for fostering open, creative, and unified communities. Her passion lies in creating spaces where people can come together to explore the profound impact of communication, collaboration and storytelling. With over eight years of professional experience in the communications field, and a heart dedicated to positive social change, she has worked diligently to nurture environments where individuals can share their ideas, experiences, and perspectives freely. Fatemah believes that in these spaces of openness and creativity, true unity can be forged, transcending boundaries and fostering a sense of belonging. Fatemah was born and raised in the United Arab Emirates and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication from the American University of Sharjah. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
