- 7:49The Art of Why | Nikita Gandhe | TEDxChoithramSchoolIndoreIt is a common saying that every human is unique, different, but pretty often we fail to comprehend the implications of this statement. With every human being different comes the added burden of every human performing with diverse mentality and reasons, often conflicting. Disputes arise when either sides fail to comprehend the reason behind another's actions, while solely focusing on their own perspective. As important it is for humans to accept other people's uniqueness, it is equally important to accept the basic idea that even if one's actions impact you negatively, they have a reason behind what they have done. If we can comprehend simply the idea that we are not the only ones having complicated tangles in our minds and agendas behind everything we do, it would considerably reduce the chances of conflicts and increase possibilities of reaching a compromise. The talk imposes on the idea that it is never one person's fault. It is significant for both parties to accept another's idea and strive towards establishing a middle ground. Nikita Gandhe is a grade 12 Commerce Student of Choithram School and a CA aspirant who has been an active presence in the TEDEd club since grade 7 where she anchored for the Lumos Event. She became an official member of the club in grade 11. An active debater and MUNer, Nikita enjoys Geopolitics and frequently indulges in studying Global Economic trends. Having bagged several laurels for the school, Nikita became the 3rd place winner in The Topical Talk Festival organised by the UK-based The Economist Foundation.
