Innovation the Wand for Change | Zichuan Dong | TEDxNACIS Shanghai Youth

11-year-old Franco shares how everyday objects can spark creativity—turning paper clips into art, upcycling coffee capsules into jewelry, and herding sheep with drones. He proves innovation isn’t about grand inventions but fresh perspectives: a bent clip can crown his mom a queen, and a buzzing drone can revolutionize traditional herding. The real magic? Taking action on ideas, no matter how small, to create meaningful change. I'm from Class Hazel, Grade 6, and I'm a total bookworm—especially when it comes to fantasy novels! I often lose myself in the worlds of Percy Jackson and A Song of Ice and Fire, which feels even more thrilling than eating my favorite chocolate. Those mind-blowing stories never fail to ignite my imagination. But I’m not just about books—I’m always on the move! I play lively tunes on my flute, and even cooler, I’m a skilled drone pilot, sending it soaring through the sky. The bird’s-eye view is absolutely amazing!
