From "Mukbang" to fighting global hunger | Blair Joohee Lee | TEDxChadwick International School

It’s heartbreaking that we live in a world capable of producing so much food, yet this imbalance of global hunger remains. Could we find ways to connect this gap, using media and technology to solve this problem, and ensure that no one has to go hungry? She is a Middle School student at CI. Her talk explores the contrast between mukbang videos and the issue of hunger, proposing a creative solution: inserting hunger relief ads in mukbang content to raise awareness and donations. By harnessing the popularity of these videos, she aims to encourage viewers to think more critically about global hunger and inspire action. Her vision highlights how everyday media consumption can be transformed into a force for positive change. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
