Sonita delivers a moving and unique talk on the age old question 'who am I?" But this talk won't be like any that you have heard before!As Sonita draws upon her own lived experiences of growing up in 80's Eastend of London, in harrowing childhood conditions; we are taken on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, including hearing of her very first experience of feeling 'ashamed of existing' at just 5 years old!
Sonita has dedicated her adult life to helping others, & this year she founded the Gentle Arts 4 Self-Care program; which she delivers to local people; using art & creative writing to combat loneliness & depression. Alongside proudly winning a local Charity Values Award; for being Inclusive, "ensuring that all people feel valued and are treated with dignity at all times". Sonita has also been a proud & long standing Samaritans Listening Volunteer supporting the most vulnerable members of our society.
