Esensi Manusia di Tengah Deru Ombak Teknologi | Akmal Sabil Amrullah | TEDxUniversitasBrawijaya
This talk discusses how technology and social media algorithms are increasingly influencing our lives, often without us realizing it. Algorithms work relentlessly to understand us better than ourselves, creating a reality where our choices, desires and happiness are often influenced by the screens in our hands. With personal reflections on the endless scrolling that only results in emptiness, the speaker invited the audience to reflect on who they really are behind the screen, despite the algorithms that continue to manipulate their digital experiences. Ultimately, the talks emphasized the importance of having self-awareness and a life mantra as a compass so that we are not swayed by the flow of technology, so that we can appreciate ourselves more and set our direction in life based on our true desires, not just algorithm-driven ones.
