Dr. Priyanka Sehrawat, a neurologist by profession and an alumna of AIIMS, Delhi, brings her expertise to the stage to explore the intricacies of memory. She delves into the various stages of memory, including encoding, consolidation, storage, and retrieval, sharing valuable insights from her clinical experience. Through her talk, Dr. Sehrawat discusses the balance between declarative and non-declarative memory, and the roles of the conscious and unconscious mind. She also shares a striking case of post-surgical memory loss, highlighting the complexity of memory. The talk concludes with a thought-provoking question: "If you could erase one memory, what would it be?" Dr. Priyanka Sehrawat is a distinguished neurologist with an MD in Medicine and a DM in Neurology from AIIMS, Delhi. She is the founder of the “Sahi Sehat” health campaign and currently practices at Neuromind Clinic in Gurgaon. Dr. Sehrawat is also an academic contributor, having authored a chapter on the cerebellum in the Indian Academy of Neurology’s Festschrift. Her dedication to both clinical excellence and community health makes her a prominent voice in the field of neurology.
