Transforming Mindsets: Nurturing Growth from Fixed Foundations | Zulfiya Obidova | TEDxCAU Women

In her talk Zulfiya Obidova explains why girls are more prone to have a fixed mindset because of the social, cultural and parental expectations. As she counts these reasons, she also gives some ideas as to how we can foster a growth mindset in our daughters especially. She believes that by applying the techniques she suggests, parents and educators can help girls develop a growth mindset, empowering them to pursue their goals with confidence and resilience. Zulfiyakhon Obidova is the founder and CEO of Invento – The Uzbek International School, dedicated to transforming education in Uzbekistan. Passionate about growth mindset development and gender equality in learning, she strives to create opportunities for all students to learn, grow, and lead. Her personal journey led her to fall in love with the IB system, recognizing its transformative impact on students. She believes in its ability to shape young minds by developing both soft and hard skills, preparing them for a rapidly changing world. Through her leadership, she champions a future where education unlocks the full potential of every child.
