Okçuluk, sadece bir spor dalı olmanın ötesinde karakter inşa eden bir yolculuktur. Metin Gazoz, bu konuşmasında sporun insan hayatındaki dönüştürücü rolünü, oğlu Mete Gazoz’un şampiyonluk yolundaki gelişimi üzerinden okçuluğun insan karakterine nasıl etki ettiğini ve bir şampiyonun hangi becerilerle başarıya ulaştığını anlatıyor. Metin Gazoz, Milli Takım Antrenörü ve EğitimciSakarya ili Adapazarı 1972 yılında doğdu. İlk, orta ve lise eğitimini Adapazarı’nda tamamladı. Lise eğitimini Endüstri Meslek Lisesinde yapmıştır. Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi Beden Eğitimi Spor Yüksek Okulu mezunun olup 1998 yılından itibaren beden eğitimi öğretmeni olarak MEB’de görev almaktadır.Okçuluk sporunu kalkınması amacıyla Türkiye Okçuluk Federasyonu tarafından seçilen pilot il Adapazarı’nda başlamıştır. 2024 yılı itibari ile okçuluk sporunda 40. Yılını doldurmuş olup, Türkiye Okçuluk Federasyonu yönetim kurulu üyesi ve as başkanıdır. Ayrıca Paralimpik Okçuluk Federasyonu as başkanıdır. 1990 yılında milli takıma seçilmiş olup, 2012 yılında Avrupa Şampiyonluk Kupasında bayrağı oğlu Mete Gazoz’’a devretmiştir.2012 yılı itibari ile Türkiye Okçuluk Federasyonu eğitim kurulu başkanlığı, teknik kurul başkanlığı ve yönetim kurulu üyeliği görevini sürdürmektedir. İstanbul Okçuluk Gençlik ve Spor Kulübü kurucusu olup aktif çalışmalara devam etmektedir.Evli ve iki çocuk babasıdır.
