Saudi, Syrian interior ministers discuss strengthening security cooperation

JEDDAH — Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif met with Syrian Minister of Interior Anas Khattab at the ministry's headquarters in Jeddah on Monday.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed ways to strengthen bilateral security cooperation. They also reviewed issues of mutual interest.
At the outset of the meeting, Prince Abdulaziz welcomed Minister Khattab and his accompanying delegation to Saudi Arabia. He noted that the meeting came in line with the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
He emphasized Saudi Arabia's commitment to enhancing security cooperation with Syria and to provide support and expertise to help restore security and stability in the country. The meeting was attended by several senior Saudi and Syrian officials.
