4 people arrested after foiling attempt to smuggle in 140 kg of methamphetamine at Jeddah port

JEDDAH — Three Pakistani nationals and one Saudi citizen were arrested in Jeddah after foiling their attempt to smuggle in 147 kilograms of methamphetamine.
The General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC), in coordination with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, foiled the attempt to smuggle the huge cache of drugs hidden inside marble shipment containers at Jeddah Islamic Port.
The security authorities urged the public to report any information related to drug smuggling or selling by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 999 in other regions of the Kingdom. They may also contact GDNC at 995 or through email: 995@gdnc.gov.sa. All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality, the authorities said.
