Saudi foreign minister holds key diplomatic meetings on G20 sidelines in South Africa

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a series of high-level diplomatic meetings with his counterparts from China, the United Kingdom, France, and Australia on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in South Africa.Prince Faisal met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, where the two officials reviewed Saudi-Chinese relations and explored ways to enhance cooperation across various fields.
They also discussed intensifying bilateral and multilateral coordination on key regional and global issues, exchanging views on the latest international developments.
In a separate meeting, Prince Faisal held talks with UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs David Lammy.
Discussions centered on bilateral relations, areas of cooperation, and pressing regional and global issues of mutual interest.
The Saudi foreign minister also met with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot, where they discussed ways to strengthen ties between Saudi Arabia and France.
The ministers exchanged views on regional developments and ongoing efforts to achieve stability and peace in the region.
During his meeting with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong, Prince Faisal explored opportunities to enhance bilateral relations and exchanged insights on regional and international matters of shared concern.
All meetings were attended by Saudi Ambassador to South Africa Faisal Al-Harbi and Assistant Director-General of the Foreign Minister’s Office Waleed Al-Ismail.
