Saudi Arabia's trade with Arab League countries exceeds SR87 bln

JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia’s trade with Arab League nations, including Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), reached approximately SR87.7 billion during the fourth quarter of 2024, according to country groups.
Trade represents approximately 17.2% of Saudi Arabia's total trade with all countries worldwide, amounting to approximately SR510.9 billion. This represents an annual growth rate of 6.2%, with an increase of more than SR5 billion, compared to the same period in 2023, which amounted to approximately SR82.6 billion.
According to the General Authority for Statistics’ quarterly International Trade Bulletin, Saudi Arabia's trade surplus with Arab League countries, including the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), exceeded SR30.46 billion during the fourth quarter of 2024, compared to a surplus of approximately SR22.18 billion during the same period in 2023. This represents an annual growth of 37.3%, exceeding SR8.27 billion, SPA Reported.
Saudi Arabia’s exports amounted to approximately SR59.11 billion, of which SR39.5 billion were to GCC countries, representing approximately 14.2% of Saudi Arabia's total exports to all countries worldwide, which amounted to approximately SR277.9 billion.
Exports to Arab League countries, excluding GCC countries, amounted to SR19.6 billion, representing approximately 7.1% of Saudi Arabia's total exports to all countries around the world.
Saudi Arabia's imports from Arab League countries totaled SR28.653 billion, or 12.3% of total imports. Within this, SR18.354 billion came from GCC countries, and SR10.298 billion from other Arab League nations. The Kingdom's total global imports were SR233.042 billion.
The United Arab Emirates emerged as Saudi Arabia's top Arab export destination in Q4 2024, with exports exceeding SR23.512 billion. Bahrain followed with SR8.423 billion, Egypt with SR8.353 billion, Oman with SR4.434 billion, and Jordan with SR2.999 billion
