Madinah Chamber of Commerce and Canadian delegation explore investment opportunities

The Chairman of the Madinah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mazen Rajab, welcomed Canadian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Jean-Philippe Linteau, and a high-level Canadian trade delegation as part of an effort to enhance economic and investment collaboration.The visit, which took place from February 19 to 20, included a Canadian infrastructure trade mission consisting of 30 companies specializing in infrastructure, construction, smart technologies, clean technology, and creative industries.
The delegation engaged with key Madinah-based organizations to explore business partnerships and investment opportunities.
As part of the visit, the Canadian delegation met with senior executives from Rua Al Madinah Holding Company and Madinah Knowledge Economic City.
Discussions focused on smart urban development, sustainable innovation, and new areas of economic collaboration.
During their tour of the Chamber of Commerce, the delegation explored bilateral meeting halls and engaged in discussions with Saudi business leaders, highlighting investment prospects in key sectors such as construction and building materials, creative industries, arts, and culture.
Ambassador Linteau praised the city's ambitious transformation plans, particularly its commitment to welcoming more pilgrims while preserving its unique identity and livability.
“The transformation of Madinah to welcome more pilgrims from all over the world, while enhancing the city’s livability and maintaining its peaceful character, is a remarkable endeavor,” Linteau stated.
“Canadian companies offer world-class expertise in infrastructure, technology, and sustainability, and the trade mission reflects Canada’s strong interest in collaboration with Madinah-based partners.”
Deputy Secretary-General of the Madinah Chamber, Naif Al-Hazmi, emphasized the significance of the meeting as a key opportunity to foster trade partnerships and exchange expertise.
He reaffirmed the chamber’s commitment to expanding cooperation with global markets, attracting high-value investments.
