Riptides and Actions: How Youth Can Advocate for Inclusive Language | Qianyi Su | TEDxJXEFLS Youth

This speech will explore how language affects respect and equality in our daily lives. By analyzing everyday language, the speaker reveals the subtle role of language in shaping social concepts. She mentioned common insulting language and called on everyone to reflect on and improve this phenomenon. The speech not only focuses on stereotypes in language but also calls for a more civilized and inclusive way of communication. Regardless of identity, language should be a bridge to promote respect and understanding, rather than a tool for discrimination. This sharing will prompt the audience to think about how to practice respect in daily communication and jointly promote social progress. She is dedicated to researching misogyny in everyday language and frequently participates in speaking engagements. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
