Madinah police arrest 4 Indonesians for Hajj Hady scam

MADINAH — Madinah police arrested four Indonesian residents for defrauding individuals by falsely claiming to offer Hajj sacrificial animal slaughter (Hady) for a fee. The suspects were referred to the Public Prosecution after taking the necessary legal action against them.
The Public Security cautioned against fraudulent social media advertisements offering Hajj services on behalf of others, such as providing Hady sacrifices, selling Hajj bracelets, and arranging transportation, often by fake individuals and entities. It stressed that those who are found violating regulations will be prosecuted.
It reminded Saudi citizens and residents to comply with Hajj regulations and report violations by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 999 in the other regions.
