RIYADH The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Saudi Arabia’s condemnation of the terrorist attack that took place at a church in the Dweilaa area in Damascus, capital of Syria. The attack resulted in the deaths and injuries of scores of people.

In a statement, the ministry reiterated the Kingdom’s firm stance rejecting the targeting of places of worship, the intimidation of innocent civilians, and the innocent bloodshed, affirming the Kingdom’s solidarity with Syria against all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism.

Saudi Arabia extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of Syria. The ministry wished the injured a speedy recovery.
