23,000 Saudi students enroll in world’s top 200 universities

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 reforms have strengthened the education sector across all levels, leading to significant international recognition.
According to the Saudi Vision 2030 Annual Report for 2024, around 12 Saudi universities are now ranked among the top 1,000 universities globally in the Shanghai Ranking.
The report highlighted that approximately 29 Saudi universities have secured positions among the world's leading universities, while 32 universities have been included in the Sustainable Development Index.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program has played a central role in enhancing educational outcomes.
Following its restructuring and the launch of the King Salman Strategy for Foreign Scholarships, the program has enabled more than 23,000 Saudi students to enroll in the world’s top 200 universities and institutes. The graduation rate for scholarship recipients has reached about 92%.
Vision 2030’s education strategy focuses on developing curricula, improving quality, and investing in digital education, positioning education as a cornerstone for sustainable development and economic growth.
