King and Crown Prince offer condolence to Iranian president over the deadly port explosion

JEDDAH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman have offered condolences to Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian over the explosion that claimed the lives of several people and sustained injuries to hundreds of others at an Iranian port near Bandar Abbas.

In separate cables of condolences sent to Pezeshkian, the King and the Crown Prince extended their sincere condolences and sympathy to the Iranian president, the families of the deceased, and the people of Iran. They prayed to God Almighty to bestow His mercy upon the souls of the deceased and grant speedy recovery to all those injured in the explosion.

At least 28 people have been killed and more than 800 injured in a huge explosion and fire erupted at the Port of Shahid Rajaee, the country's largest commercial port, near the Bandar Abbas city in southern Iran on Saturday.
