HR Ministry launches 'Ajeer Al-Hajj' service for seasonal work during Hajj 2025
Saudi Gazette report
RIYADH — The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced launching the “Ajeer Al-Hajj” service to facilitate the employment of workers on seasonal contracts during this year’s Hajj season. This service will enable business owners to benefit from seasonal employment contracts during the Hajj period by connecting job seekers and employers through the "Bab Ajeer" platform.
The platform serves as a bridge connecting job seekers with employers, streamlining the workflow and simplifying procedures for both establishments and workers during the Hajj season. The service allows establishments to post job vacancies during the Hajj season via the platform and jobseekers to browse and apply for these opportunities. “Ajeer Al-Hajj” can then grant establishments work permits to temporarily employ Saudis and expatriates.
The ministry also requires the establishments to issue Hajj permits for their seasonal workers and stresses that violators will face penalties as stipulated by regulations. This initiative is part of the ministry’s plan to enhance the quality of services provided and improve pilgrim's experiences during the Hajj season.
The ministry called on Saudis and expatriates wishing to work in the holy sites during the Hajj season to upload their resumes as part of efforts to organize seasonal employment and simplify procedures for both establishments and workers. The service is available through the website: https://bab-ajeer.qiwa.sa/.
