The Madinah Region Police confirmed that authorities responded in real-time to a widely circulated video showing a woman assaulting a security officer while he was performing his duties.The incident occurred in the courtyards of the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. As seen in the footage, the woman attempted to walk through a non-authorized walkway. When the security officer advised her to change her route, she refused to comply and then assaulted him by slapping him on the face.
In a statement issued Saturday, police said the incident was immediately handled at the scene and that all necessary legal procedures were completed in accordance with regulations.
