Is it what we say or when we say it? Musicians self-describe in as many ways as there are styles of music. One of the most obvious and ironically least used descriptions is the title of timekeeper. In her TEDx talk, Tai Murray explores why this is historically relevant and not to mention true in contemporary moments and how she makes this moniker her own. The prophecy of juvenile superpredators led nearly every state in the United States to expand laws that removed children from juvenile courts and exposed them to adult courts and adult punishments. Was this prophecy true? Was it worth locking juveniles up in adult prisons for long sentences? The simple answer is no. In this talk, Dr. Arielle Baskin-Sommers reviews what psychological science can teach us about adolescents who commit violent crimes. Dr. Arielle Baskin-Sommers, Yale University, is a clinical psychologist. Her work focuses on identifying and specifying the cognitive, emotional, and environmental mechanisms that contribute to antisocial behavior (e.g., substance use, criminal activity, aggression). She uses findings from her research to develop novel experimental tasks, assessments, and intervention strategies aimed at developing more humane (and scientific) approaches to addressing mental health and crime. Ensemble, ils ont conçu un trimaran de 14 mètres de long, capable de supporter la sculpture flottante de plusieurs tonnes. Maintenant, ils se lancent dans le record de vitesse à la voile en reprenant le prototype du précédent record afin de l'utiliser comme laboratoire. Cette prouesse technique a été rendue possible grâce au travail de deux bretons : Madeg Ciret-Le Cosquer, architecte naval, et Morgane Suquart, navigatrice et designer.
