Come il fluire perenne delle acque sacre del Bagno Grande, così vi è un continuum, ciclico, dell’uso che da millenni viene fatto di esse. L’archeologia, la storia, le meravigliose architetture sovrapposte attraverso i secoli, restano, in realtà, sullo sfondo di un contesto che è prima di tutto cura e cura declinata in ogni aspetto dell’umano e del divino, del corpo e dell’anima. Cura che si fa di nuovo rito e pratica ai giorni nostri, nello scoprire chi e cosa ci ha preceduto in questo luogo e perché il messaggio che essi hanno lasciato alle acque è così attuale e importante anche per noi. Con una laurea in lettere classiche e un PhD in Archeologia delle Province Romane, da oltre venti anni si occupa di ricerche archeologiche nel Mediterraneo Romano e in Medio Oriente. Esperto di topografia e nuove tecnologie applicate all'archeologia, archeologo professionista, dal 2019 dirige lo scavo archeologico a San Casciano dei Bagni per conto dello stesso Comune e ora con l'Università per Stranieri di Siena.
