Reconhecida desde pequena como uma grande sonhadora, Karina Penha trilhou seu caminho até o ativismo climático. Seu envolvimento com os movimentos de juventude e a participação nas Conferências de Clima da ONU (COPs) a levaram a um conceito chave: justiça climática. Nesta palestra, Karina questiona como conectar a crise climática com a realidade de quem mais sofre seus impactos, a juventude negra e periférica. Uma reflexão profunda sobre como justiça climática é, fundamentalmente, sobre o direito de viver e sonhar. Karina Penha é uma das principais vozes da juventude brasileira na luta pela justiça climática. A bióloga, socioambientalista e ativista, de família de pescadores e quebradeiras de coco, cresceu entre os campos alagados da Baixada Maranhense e a periferia de São José de Ribamar, aprendendo a importância da preservação ambiental e da defesa do território desde a infância. Como mulher negra da periferia, viu de perto os impactos das mudanças climáticas nas comunidades mais vulnerabilizadas. Como co-fundadora do Movimento Amazônia de Pé, Diretora do PerifaConnection e líder em diversas iniciativas socioambientais, Karina tem dedicado sua vida a defender o direito pelo bem viver e a construir um futuro mais justo e sustentável para a Amazônia e seus povos.
