However, he used his free time to focus on poetry, posting anonymously on social media. Despite facing backlash and negativity from relatives and friends, he continued writing. He eventually overcame his stage fright and registered for an open mic. Although he was disappointed by his own performance and felt inadequate compared to other performers, he was proud of himself for not giving up. Little did he know, his first open mic performance would go viral after two months. The two-minute performance, which he once felt embarrassed about, gained millions of views across various social media platforms. This newfound success earned him respect from relatives, friends, and those around him. He concludes his talk by encouraging the audience to keep dreaming and never let go of their passion. Fotoğraf, bir belgeden öteye geçti, artık hayatlarımızda büyük bir yığına dönüştü ve paylaşılır hale geldi, diyerek söze başlayan B. Nihan Eren, aile albümünde yalnızca kendi doğumuna ait tek bir fotoğrafın olduğunu, büyük büyük dedelerinin suretlerinin bile olmadığını vurguladı. Yaş aldıkça albümlerin sayfalarını çevirirken “Benim hayatım nasıl olacak? şeklinde sorular sorduğunu ve albümlerin, onun bu sorularına somut bir karşılık sunduğunu aktardı. İnsanoğlunun fotoğraf çekme fikrini bulması ve bir kutunun içine ışığı hapsetmeyi akıl etmesi, Eren’e göre muazzam bir olaydı. Geçmişte yalnızca üst sınıfa özgü olan portreler, fotoğraf sayesinde herkes için erişilebilir hale gelmişti. Bu dönüşüm, yalnızca sanatta değil, birey olma fikrinin gelişiminde de önemli bir rol oynamıştı. Sanatın, edebiyatın ve bilimin bireyi ve aklı ön plana çıkardığını ifade eden Eren, “Eften püften nedenlerden ötürü ölmemeyi hak etmek istiyorum.” diyerek de bireyin değerini vurguladı. Eski fotoğraflardaki ciddi ve kaskatı duruşların, uzun pozlama sürelerinden kaynaklandığını anlatan Eren, bu duruşların aynı zamanda dönemin toplumsal normlarını da yansıttığını beliritti. Zaman içinde köşelerin terk edilmesi, rahat koltuklara kavuşulması gibi küçük değişimlerin bile bireyin özgürlüğü açısından büyük önem taşıdığına dikkat çekti. Kadınların özgürlüğüyle ilgili farkındalığını artıran bir anısını da paylaştı yazar: Bir gece, sokak lambalarının sönmesinin ona, aydınlatmanın kadınların kamusal hayattaki varlığını nasıl etkilediğini ve küçük gibi görünen bu detayların bile kadınların hayatında büyük bir yer kapladığını düşünürdüğünü söyledi.
