| Sara Borgomaneri | TEDxSan Giovanni in Persiceto

Sara Borgomaneri is an Associate Professor at UniBO’s Psychology Department, teaching Cognitive Neuroscience, Brain Plasticity, Neuroscience of Ageing, and Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation. She conducts research in the NIBS group at the Centre for Studies and Research in Cognitive Neuroscience in Cesena and leads two UniBO projects funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research. Her work is also supported by the BIAL Foundation (Portugal). After earning a degree in Neuropsychology at UniBO, she obtained a PhD at the University of Amsterdam. Her research explores the neural basis of cognitive and affective processes, focusing on emotions, memory, perception, empathy, and brain plasticity. She uses behavioral and neurophysiological methods, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Electroencephalography (EEG), mainly on healthy subjects. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
