Her students have been honored with the prestigious 'Balshree' award, a testament to her excellence as a mentor. Sheela mastered the Melattur style of Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of Railway Sri Sundaram, a direct disciple of Mangudi Sri Dorairaja Iyer. Her scholarly pursuits led her to complete research on "Dance Aspects in Sitrilakkiyam," earning her a Doctorate from Tamizha University in Thanjavur. An energetic performer and exceptional teacher, she continually creates outstanding choreography, inspiring her students and audiences with her unparalleled dedication to the art form.
