"İstanbul Kanatlarımın Altında", "Vizontele", "Organize İşler", "Hokkabaz", "Küçük Kıyamet", "Neşeli Hayat", "Azizler" gibi birçok önemli film ve dizide görev aldı. Ayrıca, kariyeri boyunca reklam filmleri ve müzik kliplerinde sanat yönetmenliği ve yapım tasarımcılığı yaparak sektördeki etkisini genişletti.
Sanat ve tasarım alanındaki birikimini gastronomi ve işletmecilikle buluşturan Kartoğlu, İstanbul’un kültürel dokusuna önemli katkılar sunan "Kafe Ara" ve "Karaköy Gümrük"ü hayata geçirdi.
