How learning self defense changed my life | Nicole Snell | TEDxJacksonville
What would open up for you if you felt safe? Safety is a fundamental human need. Many people restrict their time outdoors because of personal safety fears, especially women, which is highlighted by their answers to the viral TikTok question, "Would you rather be alone in the woods with a man or a bear?" Additionally, for others—including Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and the LGBTQ+ community — the outdoors and the world may also feel unsafe. Nicole, an avid solo traveler and violence prevention expert, is helping people overcome fear, build confidence, and find freedom in the outdoors and their lives through empowerment-based self-defense education. Whether solo hiking to enjoy the benefits of nature or managing relationships at work, these skills can help people reclaim their right to live on their own terms.#Solotravel #Empowerment #Outdoors #OutdoorDefense #SelfDefense #GirlsFightBack #Nature # TrailsNicole Snell is an award-winning international speaker, trainer, and self-defense expert specializing in gender-based violence prevention and empowerment.
