The Tea Culture | Xinzhe Li | TEDxWuxi Yinghe Bilingual School

Chinese tea culture is centuries - old. In ancient times, Shennong, who was tasting herbs, got poisoned. By luck, a tea leaf dropped into his water. After drinking it, he was detoxified, sparking tea's discovery. Later, Bodhidharma, during cave meditation, found tea could keep him alert. Since then, tea has been a symbol of peace and an important part of social life in China. A Grade 7 student at Yinghe Bilingual School. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
