Music and entertainment are at the heart of everything for global hospitality and music veteran, Recardo Patrick. His career spans over four decades, during which he has shared the stage with some of the world's biggest music icons, including Michael Jackson, Prince, George Michael, Janet Jackson and Whitney Houston, as well as written songs with the likes of Status Quo.
An Ibiza legend, Recardo first arrived in 1982 after being invited by UNVRS (previously known as KU Club) owner, Brasilio de Oliviera, to sing alongside George Michael, Freddie Mercury, and Spandau Ballet. As a result, Recardo has continued to perform on the island for the last 30 years, creating his very own club night and brand, 'Boogie in Wonderland', which proved to be a huge success, with the help of Cirque Du Soleil and Aaron Mellor.In this performance Recardo joins forces with violinist Marina Belinska and aerialist artist Darlan Cavion Rezende to perform at the opening of TEDxDaltVila’s third edition in Ibiza, Spain. After completing her primary and high school education at TED Ankara College, she entered the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at METU Faculty of Architecture. She moved to Istanbul during her master's degree and entered the media world. Gürses has written many articles and books on literature and culture. She has also given speeches at various conferences and seminars on Turkish literature and culture. Gürses began her media career as a reporter at ATV News Center and later appeared on programs such as "Gece Hattı" and "Kırmızı Koltuk" on Star TV. She worked as an editor and presenter on programs such as "20. Saat", "13 Agency", "Bıldıgın Gibi Değil" and "Burası Haftasonu" on Habertürk TV. She served as assistant news director and on-screen presenter on the "Ana Haber" program on Kanal 1.
