- 6:17The Power of Effort | Vincent | TEDxYouth@RegentsSchoolYou don’t need to be perfect—you just need to try. And try. And try again. Vincent’s here to remind us why effort, not talent alone, is what truly powers success. Vincent is 12 years old and from Myanmar. It is his first year at Regent’s International School. No matter how busy he always makes sure there is time to immerse in a good book. His favourite genres are adventure and fantasy. Reading reduces stress and transports him to a new world. He also plays the piano and enjoys learning new pieces and improving. His favourite subject is mathematics because it is interesting and fun to do so. Sometimes though, it gets really hard and really racks my brain! He is looking forward to learning, improving my skills, and exploring new opportunities. - 10:17The Power of Technology: Will AI Take Over the World? | Richard Gunara | TEDxYouth@RegentsSchoolThis speaker tackles a big question: Will AI take over the world? Richard, will be exploring several elements of the question lots of us are curious about. Richard Antonio Gunara is a 14-year-old student at Regent’s International School Bangkok. Passionate about science, technology, and the future of humanity, Richard has always been fascinated by artificial intelligence—not just how it works, but how it impacts the world around us. For his TEDx talk, Richard asks the question: Will AI take over the world? His answer, a confident no, comes from his independent research and a deep curiosity that sparked during a discussion with his friends. He chose this topic after noticing how many people, especially his peers and even adults, were either overly excited or deeply anxious about AI. Richard wanted to bring a balanced, thoughtful perspective to the debate about AI, showing that while AI is powerful, it's still a tool—and one that’s very much under human control. Richard aims to demystify artificial intelligence and inspire others to understand it, not fear it.
