THE QUIET WEIGHT. RETHINKING PEER PRESSURE IN THE DIGITAL AGE | Lim Yu Chern | TEDxDWI EMAS Youth

Peer pressure has changed. What is it like now? Lim Yu Chern is a passionate 15-year-old student and the founder of the Sri Emas school’s debate club. She originally started as president, but decided to take a step back and let someone with less experience lead the club. She now holds the position of a ‘consultant’. A skilled communicator, Rene has competed in the World Scholars Cup (WSC), where she managed to make it to the Tournament of Champions. With a grade 6 certification in Communication Skills from Trinity College, Rene continues to build her expertise in effective and impactful communication. She is also a triathlete and has been competing in competitions from the age of 6. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
